My Teaching Pedagogy

Learn from anywhere

Save time on travel with private, in-person lessons from the comfort of your own home and make learning music fit into your schedule – online lessons also available.

Passion = Results

I believe passion leads to discipline, so I focus on helping students enjoy the craft first. When they learn to love what they’re doing, progress and excellence will come naturally.

Building a lifelong connection

Music goes beyond just chasing certificates and grades.

My goal is to make music become a lifestyle, something beautiful that stays with you. Students can grow to play with others, form bands, and find their place in musical communities, carrying a lasting love for music that supports and stays with them throughout their life.

My Teaching Process

Lesson Plan

I use an interest-first approach for teaching:

Step #1: Identify Interests

First, I find out what music the student likes and choose pieces that match their current level.

STEP #2: Identify What to Work On

Next, I assess student strengths and weaknesses and build a practice plan using songs they enjoy.

Step #3: Further Practice

Finally, they grow their range and develop the skills to take on harder pieces.

Milestones

Over the course of learning, students will:

Milestone #1: Build A Personal Repertoire

  • Play songs the student likes
  • Play song to perform for fun
